Sara Oblivion
Sara Fabbri aka Sara Oblivion is a 21 years old product and communication design student.
She is an extremely extravagant person. Since she was just a kid, she liked to dye her hair different colours, what Sara likes is to be “different” from others.
She was born and raised in a city where you are always judged, so her main goal in life is to break every mental limit and every barrier.
Her way of breaking those limits? Photography. She started shooting at the age of 14, it was one of the many ways that helped her to express herself.
Her camera is always the same one, a Canon 1100D.
“I am the literal meaning of the phrase ‘the camera does not make the photographer’: the thing that distinguishes all of us is our sensitivity, and if you know what you want to tell, and express, you will get excellent results even when shooting with older photographic gear.
Lately a person told me ‘photograph what you want to protect’ and I felt this concept very deep into my soul, because I have always photographed places in my city, abandoned buildings, taken portraits with ordinary people and people I love.”
What does being featured mean to Sara?
“For me, being published means a lot, it means that my result reach people and they like it. But what I'm looking for is not approval, what I want is just to express and transmit my feelings, and emotions to others.”
