Debora Ottaviani

Debora Ottaviani is a thirty-five-year-old artist from Italy.

Over the years she has always been attracted to the world of art: first at school, then personal interests and now with her job as an Art History teacher.

 What Debora says about her work:

“My curiosity is focused to the dream world and also to attempt reading an image through emotions. This thought has been at the peak of my sculptures for years but during this period I have approached another artistic form: photography. I started this new path during the lockdown caused by the virus that unfortunately we all know. Through my self-portraits I manage to bring out "the other me", the dreamer who at the moment, due to restrictions, is unable to express herself at best. Here the photos become intimate, dreamy, satisfying and in a word: therapeutic. My page in Instagram is therefore a sort of diary in which, through photography, I open a dialogue with the hidden but present ‘me’.”
