Elena Maggiulli

Elena Maggiulli is a 29 years old Fashion and Portrait photographer.

She is based in Rome but frequently travels to Paris and Milan. Elena mainly shoots on film because it represents her essence, with a vintage touch.

What Elena says about her style and process:

“As for the process of creating a shoot, I always do an image search first, which can start from an idea I have in mind, from a place I've seen or from the person I'm going to shoot. I create a moodboard and then, for more complex services, I work together with a team with whom I share ideas and organize the details of the set. I am honest, I have a little difficulty describing my style, because I can't look at it from the outside, sometimes I'd like to be able to do so. I always try to establish a relationship with the person I am going to shoot, I like to get to know them and chat while shooting, among other things I like the "social" side of photography, being able to meet new people, new realities.”

Elena has a Master’s Degree in marketing and communication, after spending several years working in this field she discovered her passion for photography. She then decided to follow her heart, and turn her passion into a profession.

“My shots have a vintage touch and I often shoot on film, because I believe that I belong to another era, now past.”
