Mauro Serra

Mauro Serra is a photographer and a former neuroscientist from Italy. The path Mauro followed made him reflect on the human being and the perception he has about himself and the world around him.

His interests ranges from still life to portrait. Mauro’s subjects, more commonly, are represented in an unusual and extroverted way, creating images with a strong aesthetic impact as well as conceptual value.

What does Mauro says about his work:

“I firmly believe in the power of collaborations, distinct minds traveling on the same wave exponentially increase expressive strength and stimulate each other. This is why my most significant works bear the double signature of myself and Lucia Del Pasqua. She is a copywriter, creative content creator, art director, teacher, book writer… it is difficult to define her with a word if not perhaps with “creative”.

Together we have formed an artistic duo known as LaterArte, a project that aims to provoke reflections and emotions, through the "uncomfortable" creative exploration of bodies, objects and foods, treated with an angular and unconventional aesthetic.”.
