Claire Delanghe
Claire Delanghe is a 24 years old artist from Belgium. She has studied photography for 3 years, and she has always been quite passionate by it.
Film photography, however, came into her life about 2 and a half years ago and Claire completely fell in love with the process. Having to really think about your image, the frame, the lightning, the story, instead of taking 20 photos and thinking “one of them has to be good right?”.
"Photography for me really unlocked a new way of expressing myself through something else than words (which I’m not the best at). I try to capture lights, atmospheres, a certain aesthetic that gives the spectator an opportunity to create their own story from the feelings these give out. Not everyone will feel the same watching a picture, it depends on their past, their personality, their deep emotions and I’d love to think that someone who looks at my work just feels something, whether it’s positive or negative, just something.”
“I usually go for walks or take my bike, wander around and wait to see if my eye catches anything. It’s a pretty instinctive process, I photograph what I like and what speaks to me."
